Government Announces New Jobs: According to Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM), Shaza Fatima, the government will provide two million jobs to the Pakistani youth under the National Youth Employment Policy (NYEP).
Shaza claimed that Pakistan has a sizable youthful population with over 150 million individuals under the age of 30, during the Commonwealth Year of Youth’s opening event. This accounts for 68% of Pakistan’s population.
She continued by saying that youth are both the present and the future. They have the potential to contribute significantly to the nation if given the correct opportunities. The government is prioritizing initiatives that support young people’s empowerment, such as “Blue Collar Jobs,” “Girls Learn, Girls Earn,” and other acceptable career paths. The four E’s—education, environment, employment, and participation—are essentially the core of the Prime Minister’s Youth Initiative.
