“The Land of Beautiful Landscapes, The Land of Mesmerizing Architecture and the Land of Courteous People.”

That’s Pakistan, A country located in South Asia with a population of over 220 million people. It is a diverse and culturally rich country with a long and fascinating history. It is often depicted in a negative light in the media. However, many positive aspects of Pakistan often go unrewarded. Today I will share some of the positive aspects of Pakistan.

Here are just a few of the things that make Pakistan conspicuous.

Beautiful Landscapes:

Pakistan is a country with breathtaking natural beauty and a diverse range of landscapes. From the towering peaks of the Karakoram mountain range to the lush green valleys of Chitral and Swat, Pakistan is a paradise for nature lovers. Here are just a few of the many beautiful places that are must-visit places for tourists.

Hunza Valley:

Located in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, the Hunza Valley is known for its stunning beauty and picturesque villages. The valley is home to some of the highest peaks in the world, including Rakaposhi and Ultra, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Swat Valley:

The Swat Valley is located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan and is known for its beautiful landscapes, including forests, rivers, and waterfalls. The valley is also home to the ancient Buddhist ruins of Takht-i-Bahi, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Neelum Valley:

Located in the beautiful Himalayan region of Azad Kashmir, the Neelum Valley is known for its stunning landscapes and crystal-clear streams. The valley is home to several beautiful lakes, including the blue waters of Kutton Jagran Lake and the crystal clear waters of Kundal Shahi.

Chitral Valley:

The Chitral Valley is located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan and is known for its beautiful landscapes and rich cultural heritage. The valley is home to several ancient forts, temples, and monasteries, and is a popular destination for trekkers and nature lovers.

Fairy Meadows:

Fairy Meadows is a small, picturesque grassland situated in the Diamer District. It is located in the Nagar Valley, about 8,000 feet above sea level, and is a popular base camp for hikers and climbers who want to tackle the nearby Nanga Parbat mountain, one of the highest peaks in the Himalayas. Nanga Parbat, also known as the “Killer Mountain,” is known for its difficult and dangerous climbing routes, and it has a high fatality rate among climbers. Nanga Parbat means “Naked Mountain” in Urdu because it is said to be so steep and rocky that it appears naked compared to other peaks that are covered in snow and ice.

Fairy Meadows is known for its stunning natural beauty with breathtaking views, forests, alpine meadows, and clear streams surrounded by snowy peaks. The area is also home to many wildlife species, including ibex, snow leopards, and brown bears. There are several guesthouses and small hotels in Fairy Meadows that offer accommodation for visitors.

The Karakoram Highway:

It is also known as the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway is a 1,300-kilometer-long highway that connects Pakistan and China. It runs from Hasan Abdal to Kashgar(China) through the Karakoram mountain range.

The Karakoram Highway is one of the highest-paved international roads in the world, with some parts of the road reaching an elevation of more than 15,000 feet above sea level. It is considered an engineering marvel due to the challenging terrain and difficult conditions in which it was built. The highway was completed in 1979 and has played a vital role in the economic development of both Pakistan and China. It is also considered as the

 “Eighth Wonder of the World”. It is also a popular tourist destination, offering stunning views of the mountains and an opportunity to see the unique culture of the region.

Besides Beautiful Natural Landscapes, many other factors make Pakistan worth noting.

1st Nuclear Power Islamic State:

Pakistan successfully developed nuclear weapons and conducted its first nuclear test in 1998 in Chaghi, Balochistan. The development of nuclear weapons in Pakistan was not easy at all. It took almost twenty years to complete. Pakistan’s nuclear weapons program began in the 1970s, when the country’s leader at the time Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, declared that Pakistan would pursue the development of nuclear weapons. The program faced many obstacles, including international sanctions and the difficulties of acquiring the technology and materials needed to develop nuclear weapons. However, Pakistan persevered and eventually succeeded in developing its nuclear weapons. The credit goes to Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan for achieving this milestone for Pakistan.

Largest Ambulance service in the World:

The Edhi Foundation is a philanthropic organization that operates a fleet of ambulances and provides a range of social services. It was founded in 1951 by Abdul Sattar Edhi and is headquartered in Karachi. 

The Edhi Foundation is well known for its ambulance service, which is the largest ambulance service in the world. The organization operates a fleet of more than 5000 ambulances which are used to transport patients to hospitals and provide medical care at the scene of accidents and emergencies. The Edhi Foundation also operates several hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics as well as

a blood bank and a drug rehabilitation center. In addition to its healthcare services, the organization also assists the poor, orphans, and victims of natural disasters. The Edhi Foundation is funded largely through private donations and is known for its efficient and effective service delivery.

Largest Football producer in the world:

Pakistan is one of the top producers of football in the world and the football manufacturing industry is a significant contributor to the country’s economy. There are numerous football factories located in Pakistan and many of these factories produce footballs for international brands and use in major sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup. The football used in FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar was also produced in Pakistan.

The majority of footballs produced in Pakistan are made from synthetic materials. They are durable, easy to clean, and have a good feel on the ball, making them popular choices for use in professional and amateur football matches. The production process involves several steps, including cutting the materials, stitching the panels together, inflating the ball, and applying the final finish. The industry remains an important part of the Pakistani economy and continues to produce high-quality footballs for use around the world.

Changa Manga – The Largest Man-Made Forest:

Changa Manga is a man-made forest located 70 kilometers away from Lahore, Punjab. It is named after the village of Changa Manga which is located within the forest. The forest was created in the 1870s by the British colonial government as a plantation to produce wood for the construction of railways in the region. It covers an area of approximately 12,515 hectares and 3.5 million trees were planted there.

It is home to a variety of plant and animal species. The forest is popular with tourists and is known for its natural beauty and recreational facilities including a lake and a wildlife sanctuary.

The Captivating Gwadar:

Gwadar is a port city located in southwestern Balochistan. The city is strategically located at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, which is considered a major gateway between the Middle East and South Asia. Gwadar cricket stadium has also been built in 2020 which is named “Senator Muhammad Ishaq Baloch Cricket Stadium” which is considered one of the most beautiful cricket stadiums in the world. Gwadar has gained importance in recent years due to the development of the Gwadar Port, which is a key component of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). This port is being developed with the help of Chinese investment and is expected to serve as a major hub for trade and transportation in the region. The development of Gwadar Port and the surrounding infrastructure is expected to have significant economic and political implications for Pakistan and the surrounding region.

Faisal Masjid, The biggest Mosque in Pakistan:

Faisal Mosque is the largest mosque in Pakistan and the fifth largest in the world is named after Saudi King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz, who funded the construction of the mosque. The beautiful mosque was designed by Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay and completed in 1986. It is a popular tourist attraction in Islamabad and is known for its modern and unique architectural style, which combines traditional Islamic and modern design elements. The mosque has four minarets and can accommodate over 300,000 worshippers at a time.

Khewra Salt Mines:

The Khewra Salt Mine is a major tourist attraction in Pakistan, located in Khewra, north of Pind Dadan Khan, in the Jhelum District of Punjab. The mine is the world’s second-largest, producing more than 350,000 tons of salt per year. It is a major source of income for the local government and employs more than 300 people. The mine has a series of tunnels, galleries, and chambers, some of which are illuminated with multi-colored lights. The mine also includes a mosque made entirely of salt blocks, as well as some salt statues and other salt sculptures. Visitors to the mine can take a guided tour to see the various features of the mine and learn about its history and operation.

Rich culture and history: 

Pakistan has a rich and diverse culture, with influences from various empires that have ruled the region throughout history. The country is home to numerous ancient historical sites, including the Gandhara Civilization and Indus Valley Civilization, which is one of the oldest in the world.

The Hospitality of the people: 

Pakistani people are known for their warm hospitality and generosity. 

It is common for Pakistani people to welcome tourists with graciousness and open arms and offer them whatever they can. They will never let them suffer from any difficulty and try to solve their problems as much as they can. Hospitality is an important part of Pakistani culture and it is considered a duty and a sign of respect to treat other people nicely.

Delicious food:

Pakistani cuisine is diverse and features a range of flavors and cooking styles and many Pakistani people take pride in their culinary traditions. Pakistani dishes are often spicy and aromatic with a delicious taste. Pakistanis are generally known for their love of food. Meals are often a social event with friends and family to enjoy a variety of dishes. Overall, it can be said that Pakistani people have a strong appreciation for good food.
