PTI mazdoor card scheme: After Sehat Card, another great initiative by Imran Khan is the issuance of the Mazdoor Card in Punjab is an ease to the poor workforce of the province. This card will be used as an ATM, Walt Account, Debit card, and Identity Code. An all-purpose card scheme for the laborers who will receive free healthcare maintenance at both private and government hospitals and other advantages too across all the province.
According to the details, around 1.2 million laborers registered with Punjab State Employees Social Security Institute (PESSI) and 6.8 million reliants will aid from Mazdoor Card. This card will work with the Sehat Sahulat card and government funding schemes as well. However, the details of debt-based usage are not revealed yet.
The Mazdoor card(PTI mazdoor card in Punjab) will not be used only in the Hospitals and Dispensaries of the Social Security Institute but also in the enlisted private hospitals throughout the province. This card(PTI mazdoor card) will provide 11 cash benefits to its recipients besides assuring the minimum compensations to the laborers.
Beneficiaries can utilize this card as a debit card and identification code as it intends to ensure timely payment of financial assistance. In this regard, bank accounts will open for these 1.2 million laborers. To withdraw money, workers can use their cards to acquire medical facilities, this is because it will permit entrance to hospitals and clinics of the Social Security Institute and all healthcare centers in Punjab.
In addition, The workers can purchase products from more than 130 companies at a discount of around 30%, along with subsidies for shops, railways, and private schools for your child’s education. Workers could get concessions from Industrial Worker’s Housing Schemes and Akhuwat Housing Scheme through Mazdoor Card(PTI mazdoor card). Officials further connect this card with the existing Sehat Sahulat Card and several other Government loan schemes.
Previously, Sehat Sahulat Card was a great initiative taken by Imran Khan which was a big hit and helped so many people in getting healthcare facilities free of cost. Sehat Sahulat Card is a health Insurance Programme for all the citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. The program is being executed through an insurance company selected with the help of national competitive bidding.
Under this program, more than 7.2 million families are getting free inpatient healthcare facilities. Data of eligible families are acquired from NADRA. Services to the beneficiaries are offered free without out-of-pocket payment up to a maximum limit of Rs. 1.0 million per family per annum. Services to the beneficiaries are delivered through a panel of Public and Private Hospitals contracted across the province.
All the secondary and tertiary healthcare diseases like Accident and emergency, Kidney diseases including dialysis and kidney transplant, Diabetes, Hepatitis B and C and all types of cancers, and Heart & Vascular diseases are covered under the program.
These programs will cater to the needs of those people who are not able to meet both ends. Sehat Sahulat Program and Mazdoor Card Program are milestones towards social welfare reforms and bringing a positive change in society ensuring that underprivileged citizens across the country get access to their allowed medical healthcare facilities swiftly and nobly without any financial constraints.
