Residential projects for overseas Pakistanis approved by PM

Residential projects approved by PM: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Islamabad chief commissioner to initiate two mega residential projects of international standards for overseas Pakistanis in Islamabad. The move is aimed at attracting foreign investment and stimulating economic activities in the country. A committee led by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has been assembled by Shehbaz Sharif to begin work on the housing projects immediately.

The land has been identified in Sector C-14, Islamabad, and work on the two projects will begin immediately and be completed in record time. The prime minister’s initiative aims to provide high-quality residential facilities to overseas Pakistanis in the federal capital, in addition to attracting foreign investment in the country.

The CDA Chairman Noorul Amin Mengal has directed Member Planning and Design Waseem Bajwa to conduct a feasibility study and prepare the project concept (PC-1) to be presented to the committee on an urgent basis. With the PC-1’s clearance, 10,000 residential plots will first be created. Before launching reservations for the housing plans for the ex-pats, the committee’s head, Ishaq Dar, would tell the prime minister about the residential projects and receive his formal approval.

The projects will be publicized not only in the national media but also in the United States, England, European countries, the Gulf states, and other places where overseas Pakistanis live. Residential plots will be available for reservation by 10,000 ex-pats in the first phase, with more plots being available in the subsequent phase. In Sector C-14 and the Kuri region, the CDA has earmarked 17,000 kanals, where initially 10,000 –11,000 residential plots would be created before 20,000 plots are delimited in the next phase.

The projects will be developed as per international standards, and commercial plots and shopping centers will also be part of the housing schemes. In order to restore public faith in the institutions, the prime minister issued stern instructions that the projects’ goals be set not just to raise funds but also to quickly grant investors control of constructed plots.

Infrastructure development is vital for the progress of any country, and Pakistan is no exception. The development of infrastructure has a direct impact on the economy, business, and job opportunities. Providing better living opportunities to the citizens of Pakistan, especially overseas Pakistanis. The projects initiated by the prime minister will not only attract foreign investment but also create job opportunities for the locals. In conclusion, the prime minister’s initiative to launch two mega residential projects of international standards for overseas Pakistanis is good news for Pakistan.
