Another good news for Pakistan. Shadab Khan, a Pakistani cricketer, has broken the previous landmark for most T20 wickets in a year. Recently, he participated in the big bash league (BBL), an Australian professional club, where he achieved this milestone.
Shadab has played 4 games and taken 7 wickets with an average of 14.7 and an economy rate of 6.86, in the recent big bash league. The three-wicket haul enabled Shadab to surpass pacers Wahab Riaz, Haris Rauf, and all-rounder Azhar Mahmood’s tally of 60 wickets in 2019, 2022, and 2013, respectively. So in total Shadab took 61 wickets in 2022.

This fantastic performance enabled Shadab Khan to break the T20 record for most wickets in the international game. Shadab has played for Pakistan in 84 Twenty Twenty International (T20I) games, 53 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and six Test matches.
Shadab Khan played in more than 220 matches which provides him with a significant amount of field experience. With the economy rate of 7.21, 2087 runs with a strike rate of 137.12 he managed to bag 258 wickets.
