The Pakistan ASOCIO awards tally shows remarkable range: from government digitisation and talent development to applied AI across cybersecurity, education, healthcare, agriculture, financial services, manufacturing and the future of work. Few countries in the region can claim strength across so many categories at once.
A Pakistani Delegation on the Regional Stage
Pakistan was represented in Jakarta by a delegation from the Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT and ITES (P@SHA), led by its chairman Dr Shoab A. Khan. He was joined by Muhammad Zohaib Khan, a P@SHA Central Executive Committee member who is also the first Pakistani elected as a vice chairman and board member of ASOCIO, and by Zain Tariq, P@SHA’s manager of special initiatives.
During the ceremony, the awards for Symmetry Group, SECUREBEANS and Geekinn were received on their organisations’ behalf by Dr Shoab Khan, Muhammad Zohaib Khan and Zain Tariq respectively. P@SHA said the Pakistan ASOCIO awards recognition demonstrated the breadth of innovation and digital transformation taking place within Pakistan’s technology ecosystem, and highlighted the country’s growing capabilities in applied artificial intelligence across public services, education, healthcare, agriculture, financial services and workforce development.
What Are the ASOCIO Awards?
ASOCIO, the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization, is a federation of ICT industry associations representing economies across Asia and Oceania. Its annual awards recognise outstanding organisations, initiatives and leaders driving digital transformation, advancing artificial intelligence and creating measurable impact across the region. The 2026 edition ran as part of the ASOCIO Digital & AI Summit 2026, held in Jakarta from 5 to 7 October and hosted by Indonesia’s ICT business association APTIKNAS. The full list of winners is published on ASOCIO’s official awards page, and the event was reported by The News. More about the organisation is available at asocio.org.
Why the Pakistan ASOCIO Awards Matter
The wins arrive at a moment of real momentum for Pakistani technology. The country’s IT exports to the UAE have jumped 42 percent, Pakistani digital services are winning clients in the Gulf and beyond, and at home a new wave of university-led research, such as the human-centered AI laboratory at Punjab University, is building the talent pipeline that awards like these celebrate. The broader national picture is equally encouraging, with Google opening an office in Pakistan to drive tech growth.
International recognition of this kind matters beyond trophies. Awards from a respected regional body like ASOCIO signal to foreign clients, investors and partners that Pakistani companies meet world-class standards, which can open doors for outsourcing contracts, joint ventures and investment. The Pakistan ASOCIO awards result is the country’s strongest showing at a regional technology competition in recent years, and it gives Pakistan’s digital industry a powerful story to tell on the world stage.
With the global technology market paying closer attention to Pakistan’s freelancers, startups and software houses, the Pakistan ASOCIO awards haul, eleven awards in a single night, sends a clear message: Pakistan’s tech industry is no longer just participating in the region’s digital economy. It is winning in it.
