Pakistan IT exports UAE trade has reached a record high. Pakistani technology companies shipped $536 million worth of IT and digital services to the United Arab Emirates in FY2025-26, up 42% from $376 million the previous year, according to reporting by Mettis Global. The surge highlights the growing technology and digital-services ties between the two countries and cements the UAE’s position as one of Pakistan’s most valuable tech export markets.

Pakistan IT Exports UAE: a 42% Leap in One Year

The latest figures show a gain of $160 million in a single fiscal year. That is a remarkable acceleration, and it reflects both rising demand for Pakistani software, freelancers and IT services in the Emirates and a deliberate push by Islamabad to open new markets for the country’s digital economy.

The UAE has long been a natural partner for Pakistan’s tech sector. It is a regional hub for finance, logistics and technology, with deep commercial links to Pakistan’s business community. For Pakistani startups and software houses, the Emirates offer proximity, capital and a gateway to the wider Middle East.

Why the Emirates Are a Natural Market

Geography and history both work in Pakistan’s favour here. More than a million Pakistanis live and work in the UAE, creating commercial networks that Pakistani firms can tap into. The short flight from Karachi makes it easy for software teams to visit clients, and shared business hours mean real-time collaboration instead of overnight hand-offs.

Demand is also structural. As Gulf economies digitise government services, banking and retail, they need exactly the kind of cost-competitive engineering talent Pakistan produces, and the Pakistan IT exports UAE relationship gives both sides a head start on deeper integration.

Pakistan Pavilion Showcases AI at AI Everything Global 2026

Against this backdrop, Pakistan is putting its artificial intelligence talent on display at AI Everything Global 2026 in the UAE, one of the world’s largest AI gatherings. The event brings together more than 500 exhibitors and 150 investors from 70 countries.

The Pakistan Pavilion, set up under the auspices of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), features five Pakistani technology companies presenting AI-driven solutions and services. The showcase covers:

  • AI Data Intelligence
  • AI Surveillance
  • AI Sales Solutions
  • Sovereign AI

The pavilion was inaugurated by Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan, Pakistan’s envoy to the UAE, who met the participating companies and stressed the importance of strengthening Pakistan’s presence in the fast-evolving global AI landscape. The envoy also emphasised investment in AI talent development, urging that the younger generation be equipped with advanced AI, coding and digital skills to build a future-ready workforce and improve Pakistan’s competitiveness in the global digital economy.

Participation was facilitated by the Commercial Section of Pakistan’s Diplomatic Mission in the UAE, led by Trade and Investment Counsellor Ali Zeb Khan, in coordination with PSEB and the Ministry of IT and Telecom. Pakistani delegates are using the event to connect with international industry leaders and investors, develop strategic partnerships and explore new business and investment opportunities in the AI ecosystem.

The Pakistan IT Exports UAE Record Is Part of a Record-Breaking Year

The UAE milestone comes in a year of records for the country’s digital economy. Pakistan’s IT and telecom export remittances reached a record $4.6 billion in FY2025-26, up from $3.814 billion in FY2024-25, an annual growth of about 21%, according to State Bank of Pakistan data reported by TechJuice. June 2026 alone generated $416 million, the highest single month on record, capping years of steady growth in Pakistan’s technology exports.

International recognition is following. The World Bank now ranks Pakistan among the world’s top five suppliers of digital services, backed by the country’s roughly 75,000 IT graduates each year and its record ICT services exports, a finding also covered by Mettis Global. Pakistani firms have also been collecting regional honours, including recognition at the ASOCIO ICT Awards 2026, where local technology companies stood out among Asia’s best.

What the Pakistan IT Exports UAE Trend Points To

The deepening Pakistan IT exports UAE relationship is about more than one year’s numbers. With Pakistani firms now pitching sovereign AI, data intelligence and surveillance solutions to global buyers, the country’s tech sector is moving up the value chain, from freelance coding to full enterprise products.

For the UAE, the partnership offers a large, skilled and cost-competitive talent pool. For Pakistan, it offers capital, enterprise customers and a shop window to the world. As the Pakistan Pavilion’s presence in the UAE shows, the two sides are now investing in the relationship at both the government and business level, from embassy trade missions to startup booths.

With Pakistan IT exports UAE volumes at a record $536 million and the national industry chasing far larger ambitions, this 42% jump looks less like a one-off and more like the start of a trend.
