Pakistan-US Tech Connect 2026 Takes 16 Pakistani Firms to Silicon Valley

Pakistan US Tech Connect 2026 opens today, Friday 16 October, in Silicon Valley, where 16 Pakistani technology firms will meet US buyers, investors and partners face to face. The opening event takes place at the Krutch Theater on the Clark Kerr Campus of the University of California, Berkeley, and it begins a nine-day roadshow that continues to Dallas, Washington DC and Chicago.

For Pakistan’s technology industry, the stakes are clear. The United States is already the country’s largest market for information technology and IT-enabled services, taking more than half of Pakistan’s tech exports. Pakistan US Tech Connect 2026 is built around that relationship, and its message is simple: global enterprises already work with Pakistani technology teams, and US companies are being asked to bring their technology priorities to the table so they can be matched with the right partners.

Pakistan US Tech Connect 2026: What Happens at the Silicon Valley Opener

The Silicon Valley opener is hosted by the Consulate General of Pakistan in Los Angeles, with backing from the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and Tech Destination Pakistan under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication. The morning programme starts at 10:00 AM and features senior executives from the 16 participating firms, a panel discussion and a networking lunch.

The format is deliberately practical. Rather than a showcase of capabilities alone, the event is set up as a working session for buyers: US companies bring their technology priorities, and the organisers match them with suitable Pakistani firms. The event’s own pitch, carried on its official poster, is that it will connect visitors with the right partners for their technology needs.

Pakistani-American professional networks OPEN Global and OPEN Silicon Valley are promoting the event among their members. They have said they have no financial involvement in it and have asked interested attendees to contact the organisers directly for details.

A Four-City Roadshow, Not a One-Day Event

Pakistan US Tech Connect 2026 is a multi-city US business development roadshow, not a single conference. According to PSEB’s Tech Destination platform, the programme runs from 16 to 24 October 2026, spans four cities over nine days, and centres on curated business-to-business meetings and enterprise outreach, with a senior-level delegation travelling throughout.

After the Silicon Valley opener, the roadshow moves on to Dallas, Washington DC and Chicago, giving the participating firms exposure to very different parts of the US market in a single trip, from West Coast venture capital and technology circles to Washington’s policy and government contracting environment and Chicago’s enterprise and industrial base. The Dallas stop is billed as the second Pakistan-US Tech Investment Conference.

The participating firms were selected, not self-nominated. Selection criteria published by PSEB include valid PSEB registration, a core business in artificial intelligence and machine learning, biotech and health, fintech, mobility or enterprise software as a service, export revenues, and an existing US business footprint or pipeline. Preference was given to companies with a valid US visa. The list of the 16 participating firms and the panel speakers had not been publicly announced ahead of the opener.

Why the US Market Matters So Much

The focus of Pakistan US Tech Connect 2026 on the United States reflects where Pakistan’s technology earnings already come from. More than half of the country’s technology exports go to the United States, and the sector has been growing at roughly 20 to 21 percent a year, according to Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja. For the firms travelling with the delegation, the goal is to move beyond outsourcing relationships and toward long-term technology partnerships, joint work and direct client relationships.

That ambition fits a wider national push. Pakistan has been promoting itself as a Tech Destination through PSEB, with delegations at global events such as GITEX in Dubai and Web Summit in Lisbon also on the 2026 calendar. The US roadshow is the most commercially focused of these efforts, because it puts Pakistani firms in front of the buyers who already account for most of their export revenue.

Pakistan’s technology story in the US is also a diaspora story. Pakistani founders are a visible presence in Silicon Valley, and the 2024 conference drew commitments from US-based companies led by Pakistani-American entrepreneurs. Events like this one aim to turn those personal and community connections into formal business ties. Building on the 2024 Stanford Conference

Compared with the 2024 conference, Pakistan US Tech Connect 2026 shifts the focus from investment pitches to direct meetings between Pakistani firms and potential clients and collaborators. The first Pakistan-US Tech Investment Conference, organised by the same consulate at Stanford University in November 2024, brought a delegation of 11 Pakistani startups led by the chief executive of PSEB, and produced initial commitments of more than 20 million dollars from US-based companies led by Pakistani-American entrepreneurs.

The Consulate General has since said that connecting Pakistani firms with industry leaders on the US West Coast remains a continuing priority, and that many companies in the region do not yet have a full picture of what Pakistan’s technology sector can offer. Pakistan US Tech Connect 2026 is the next step in that effort, with a larger delegation and a format built around deal-making rather than introductions.

The timing also helps. The Silicon Valley opener falls during TechCrunch Disrupt week in San Francisco, when founders, investors and technology leaders from around the world are already in the Bay Area. The event is listed among the week’s featured side events, which puts the Pakistani delegation in front of an international audience that is already in town.

What to Watch Next

As Pakistan US Tech Connect 2026 gets under way, the details to watch are the names of the 16 participating firms, the panel line-up, and the business that comes out of the curated meetings across the four cities. The real test of the roadshow will not be the opening day in Berkeley, but the partnerships, contracts and follow-up visits that follow in the months ahead. For now, the signal from Pakistan US Tech Connect 2026 is clear: Pakistan’s technology industry is no longer content to wait for clients to find it. It is travelling to its biggest market, making its pitch in person, and asking US companies to bring their hardest problems with them.
